Nepal Features Prehistoric Elephants on Stamps

Post Authority of Nepal in cooperation with Natural History Museum of Nepal issued stamp set of prehistoric animals in July 2015. This set is dedicated to only one group of animal i.e. prehistoric elephants.Nepal is an important place for the evolution of elephants. Many Palaeontologists have discovered various body parts of these species since a long time from different part of the country. The present Prehistoric elephants of Nepal stamps series contain six elephants.
The stamps come in the denomination of Rs.10. They bear hypothesised images of these species along with their names. The stamps also bear a logo of Natural history Museum of Nepal.
